These workshops will explore ‘What is Celtic? A Question of Identity’ and ‘Brigid: A Celtic Woman for our Time’. Gwen Masters is a Minister of the Uniting Church of Australia, who has completed a Masters degree in Celtic Studies from the University of Lampeter in Wales. She has recently published a book on Celtic Spirituality: Reclaiming an Ancient Heritage: Celtic Spirituality for Today. Catriona Devlin is a Brigidine Sister with wide experience in education, leadership, spirituality and liturgy. She is currently the Coordinator of Kildara Centre in Malvern, Victoria, and of the Brigid’s Well Program.
The Scottish Gaelic Society of Victoria is a non-profit organisation consisting of members, who are keen and enthusiastic about keeping the Gaelic language alive. The object of the Society is to “promote the study and cultivation of the Scottish Gaelic language and culture in Victoria”. Over the weekend we will present a Scottish Gaelic Language Workshop, as well as a Scottish Gaelic Traditional Music Workshop.
