Trail of Tails

There are all sorts of fairies, goblin and leprechaun stories to capture your imagination and take you to legendary lands and places where you can relive wonderful tales of make believe.

Keep a look out for the Shanachie or the Storyteller as she gathers you together at the small rotunda near the markets. Once again, our Shanachi will take you on a Celtic Tales Trail where you will be immersed in exploring the legends from the Celtic lands. Suitable for young folk.

IRISH -  LEARN ALL ABOUT THE LEPRECHAUNS – who they are, what they do and why they have a crock of gold? You will learn the answers to all these questions when you come to hear the Shanachie tell her tales!

SCOTTISH – LOCH NESS MONSTER – come and hear the latest news about Nessie, the elusive Loch Ness Monster. She has been visiting other parts of the worlds so, who knows, she may even visit her cousin Bellarine Bessie and make an appearance at the Celtic Festival!

CORNISH STORY – come and learn about a magical cat called Mowser and who he helped to save a Cornish Village from starvation.

WELSH – THE MAGIC HARP – the story of Taffy Morgan and the magic harp which plays and plays for everyone to dance to.  How did he get it and what happens when he plays it?
