Victorian Pipers Association

Victorian Pipers Association is to promote, foster, and continually develop the great highland bagpipe in Victoria.

They will present two concerts - the first is a concert of Piobaireachd, the classical music of the bagpipe. The concert will feature top Victorian pipers playing prize winning tunes and excerpts of the art form. The second event is the Gordon Duncan Memorial Recital Challenge in which four pipers will compete for a trophy and prize money, dedicated to celebrating the significant contribution to folk music worldwide of Gordon Duncan. Competitors will include a minimum of three of Gordon's tunes in their set repertoire.
